The RC-2A12-2 Charger/Rejuvenator is much more than a compact  battery charger for 12 volt lead-acid batteries. This fully automatic charger has been repeatedly used to bring back to life discarded batteries when other battery chargers could no longer charge them to the original capacity. This does not include severely damaged batteries.

Careful tests have been conducted using the Renaissance battery charger to charge new batteries.   The new batteries increased in capacity after the initial loading. Other leading battery chargers resulted in a decrease in useable capacity with each cycle of charging and loading the same batterys. They were not able to fully charge the batteries as indicated with an hydrometer measuring the specific gravity of each cell.

Instead of conventional constant current or constant voltage DC charging, batteries charged by electrical pulses with specific shape, frequency, and magnitude trigger improved electrochemical energy transfer in the battery. Because of this, the life of new batteries can be dramatically extended, and the capacity of older batteries, previously unable to be adequately charged by conventional means, can be increased.

My car for several days was losing power on several electric functions like the lights and heater, etc. Finally one cold day the car could not start. The RC-2A12-2 charger was then used for one night restoring my battery to a useable condition. Forty days later I have not had any of those problems, even in extremely cold conditions.
